🥩 Steak – 4.2/5
$25 Steak night with $10 vino, sign us up! We headed to Mr Burton in Ashburton for their $25 Wednesday Steak Night. For $25 you are treated to a 250g Porterhouse with chippies, salad & a choice of 4 sauces. We as always, had our steaks medium rare, they were cooked beautifully with a great flavour. H did have to add some salt however, we thoroughly enjoyed this steak.

🔪 Sauce & Sides – 5/5
We have no notes. We started with the Burrata & prosciutto, this was unreal. The sauce & sides blew us away. From the 4 sauce choices we tried the garlic butter, red wine jus & peppercorn sauce. These sauces were honestly perfection, the garlic butter tasted exactly like garlic bread. The chippies were thick & crispy, salad was basic but beautiful & all of these parts made perfect accompaniments to the meal.

🔥 Vibe – 4/5
Mr Burton is a cosy spot for coffee and brekky as well as a lovely dinner with small tables out the front & a gorgeous courtyard out the back with plenty of seating. The staff were super friendly & looked after us very well. The vibes were casual & laid back, which we appreciated. We would absolutely go back for a vino in the courtyard.

🍷 Vino – 4.5/5
On offer with the steak night is $10 glasses of vino, the house red & the house white, slay! H tried the house red which was Pinot Noir, now we're not usually pinot girls however, this one certainly more medium bodied & we really enjoyed it. Mads went for the $12 glass of rose which was a very nice drop too.

💰 Value – 4.8/5
It's rare to find a steak night for $25 and $10 vino, unless you're making a steak at home. We think this value is hard to beat especially when you're getting such a great meal. We left so full & satisfied, we highly recommend.
