🥩 Steak – 3.7/5
Steakbabes headed out to Frankston to Hotel Lona for their Thursday $25 steak deal. We do have to mention, you can only access this deal if you have downloaded the Hotel Lona app, which is free. On offer, is a 250g Porterhouse with chippies, slaw & sauce, you may be surprised as we were, by the sauce options. The steak was cooked medium rare but a bit inconsistent & the charcoal flavour was too much for us.

🔪 Sauce & Sides – 4/5
We loved the freshly shucked oysters, which, are shucked to order with a beautiful mignonette & such a nice touch to be freshly shucked. When we see Garlic prawns, we have to try the garlic prawns & that we did. These were unbelievable, super-rich sauce, fresh prawns & we loved this so much! Now onto the sauces, the steak is served with a cafe de Paris butter x chimichurri, this made the meal! It was an unexpected combo we needed. We also tried the peppercorn, which blew our heads off, it was super punchy, & the red wine jus was quite sweet for a jus but enjoyable.

🔥 Vibe – 3.9/5
Steakbabes love learning more about the history of venues & this was one of those spots that got to teach us about the rich history behind Hotel Lona with all of the original fixtures they kept during the upgrade process & old photos of the original spot on display. The rooftop bar is very cool certainly a good spot near the beach for Summer.

🍷 Vino – 3.9/5
There is a massive beverage menu here, ranging from a glass of vino from $10 through to all the cocktails you could imagine. H went for the Sangiovese for $14 a glass which had very deep but a lovely flavour, Mads opted for the Rose for $10 a glass which was great. We could see the bottomless brunch (drinks & lunch) would hit the spot.

💰Value – 3.8/5
$25 is a great price for a steak night, after countless steak nights, we do think this was enjoyable, but we do have some things we may have enjoyed more-so than what we received on the night. None the less, still a fantastic spot to add to the list.
