🥩 Steak - 4/5
There's nothing quite like a mid-week venture to Sorrento for a beautiful steak or two. We took a drive to Ember located in the Continental in Sorrento for their $39 Wagyu Wednesday. On offer is the 250g Wagyu Rump, which was lovely, but perhaps a little dry for our liking & there were some inconsistencies in how it was cooked however, it was full of amazing flavour. Additionally, we were treated to the 300g Stone Axe Striploin MB8+, this was out of this world!

🔪 Sauce & Sides – 4.7/5
We're going to struggle to shorten this, because we had so many starters & sides. We went with the kingfish tataki, scallops (these were on another level) & the oyster tasting selection. The oyster to note was with the wagyu fat. With your steak, you receive chippies, slaw & a choice of peppercorn, mushroom sauce or red wine jus. We were also super greedy & tried the truffle butter, the thyme & bone barrow butter, both were unreal but the thyme & bone marrow knocked it out of the park.

This venue is located upstairs at the Continental, and we were so impressed as soon as we walked in. The space is absolutely stunning. We loved the bar area, which had the fresh fish on display & a wall full of spirits for delish cocktails. The staff were so lovely, we felt so well looked after by them. Everything was well thought out on the interiors, the crowd were a smidge older than us but that is the demographic of Sorrento.

We were treated to two cocktails to start the night, an off the menu cocktail being the ember flame & a wagyu fat old fashioned, both super unique & the best part was the entertainment with how they are presented.

💰Value – 4.1/5
We feel that $39 for a beautiful steak, is great, plus a sauce choice & chippies & slaw. It's quite unusual to have a sauce choice, chippies & side included with a great steak too. If you're in Sorrento, this is absolutely an incredible place to try.
