🥩 Steak - 4/5
Steakbabes visited the newly updated Dawson in Kew for their Wednesday steak night. Every Wednesday you can treat yourself to a 250g MB3+ Striploin with porcini salt fries & peppercorn & marsala sauce for $29. This lovely steak is super tender, like melt in your mouth tender, and we loved the way the steak was seared. We would have loved the sauce on the side, as we feel it may have taken away from the true steak flavour and perhaps cooked it a little more on H's steak. However, all in all, it was lovely.

🔪 Sauce & Sides – 4.4/5
Besides the lovely seasoned chippes & nice mild peppercorn sauce you get with your steak night, we had to start with a few treats. Firstly, if we see burrata on the menu, we are getting it, this was absolutely superb, served with a fluffed flatbread (watch out totti's) and an incredible truffle honey. This blew our little minds. Secondly, it's rare for us to be able to share a pasta but this was the night, we obviously went for the 8 hour slow braised beef brisket GF pasta, again, we were left speechless. We couldn't recommend both of these more highly.

🍷 Vino – 4.8/5
If you're looking for a solid vino list, from local wines to international gems, this is a wine list for you! H landed on a glass of the 2021 Montepulciano for a bargain of $12 per glass, and this glass was incredibly enjoyable. Mads went for the glass of Rose from McLaren Vale for $14, this was a lovely drop, easy to drink.

🔥 Vibe – 4.3/5
The staff here were lovely, super attentive & looked after our every need, before we even knew we needed it. The venue was super busy when we arrived, filled with couples, friends and families which we loved to see.

💰 Value – 4.3/5
It's worth mentioning that every other day of the week, this steak is available at $47, so we think at the price point of $29 is pretty darn good. We would love a sauce choice & for the sauce to be served on the side so there is an option to have the sauce or just enjoy the steak for what it is, but at $29, we would go back for sure.
