🥩Steak
We headed into the city to try out the newest hot spot @commoncuts.melb We tried two of their steaks & we were so impressed. First the Black Diamond Wagyu flank, which was 220g, M4-5 for $28.50. It was cooked beautifully, we loved the marbling & we could not believe the price point. The second steak we enjoyed was the Sher Wagyu full blood rump cap at 250g & again, cooked beautifully, this practically fell apart, this steak was certainly fatty but fantastic.
🔪Sauce & Sides
Let’s start with the entrees! We enjoyed the oysters, Yorkshire puddings, Steak Tartare & crab cakes. These were all so full of delicious flavour, we truly enjoyed every single bite of these! Now for the steak, there are 6 sauce options available - CC’s original Steak sauce, Chimichurri, Mushroom & Peppercorn, Fermented Mustard & Horseradish, Nudja Butter & finally, Charred spring Onion & malt butter. We were lucky enough to try all of these but our personal favs were the CC’s Original steak sauce & the Nudja Butter, these two were stand outs. The steaks were served with shoestring fries & they were elevated maccas chips, we loved them! Noting the sauces are $4.5 each, but so worth it.
🔥Vibe
Vibes are gorgeous here, the staff are lovely, the venue has amazing interiors, its so moody with the cute table lamps.. There is also an area for DJ’s to host vinyl sets & we love this so much! Honestly, this place suits a first date or dinner with your long time lover.
🍷Vino
Steakbabes tried the Malbec to start & this hit the spot for both of us, a good drop! We then tried the shiraz, H isn’t a huge fan of Shiraz but still enjoyed it & we were spoilt with a couple of the “milk cocktails”. H loved the tiramisu version.
💰Value
The value was unbelievable; we could not believe the flank was $28.50 including fries. The steaks are such an incredible quality, we were so impressed! Vino is incredibly affordable at a bottle, you’re better off purchasing a bottle of Malbec for $48 when a glass is $22.. girl math.
