🥩 Steak - 4.3/5
We took it back to our roots with this one for a classic steak night at Barbarian Brewing Co, in Kingsville for their $30 steak night every Thursday. Barbarian is a micro-brewpub created for the community with freshly brewed beers on site. The Thursday steak night includes a 250g grass fed Scotch with chippies, salad & depending on the season, peppercorn sauce or chimichurri. The Scotch was really enjoyable & such a great size.

🔪 Sauce & Sides – 4.4/5
One of the stand outs for us is the hand cut seasoned chips, these were so crunchy & fresh. We loved these! As mentioned, the sauce choices range based on the seasons and time of year, chimichurri is served in the warmer months for something fresher & peppercorn sauce in the winter months for something warmer and cosier. Both packed a punch & full of flavour. The salad was fresh & light too.

🔥 Vibe – 4.3/5
As this is a brewery, this is a great spot for casual catch ups, plenty of spots for the kids too, including a kids corner & kids meals plus some seating out the front for a perfect summer day. The vibe is low key & we felt very comfortable here.

🍺 Beer– 4.5/5
Given we were at a brewery, we couldn't not try the beers on tap available. H opted for a schooner of the XPA which is $12 a schooner, they've got such a wide range of beers on tap which would suit all different beer drinkers. Mads opted for a staple in a Coke Zero.

💰 Value – 4.3/5
We thought $30 was solid value for a great sized grass-fed Scotch, usually you would see a porterhouse or rump for a steak night however, we were impressed with the scotch being a more premium cut. All in all, this was a great steak night!
