If you're in the South East of Melbourne looking for a great steak night, Wilbury & Sons is worth a visit! On Tuesdays from 5pm-9pm they offer their $24 Steak Night which is a flavoursome Rump served with chippies or salad & your choice from four sauce options. H went for the standard steak night offer which had a nice flavour but sadly a bit too well done for her liking. Mads tried the Porterhouse off the regular menu for $39 & absolutely loved it. Cooked beautifully, excellent flavour & an all round winner!

Where do we even begin with the sauce options?! On offer is a variety of sauce choices including Peppercorn sauce which has a good kick to your mouth flavour, the thick & sticky Jus, beautiful traditional Gravy & something we've never seen before, Butter Chicken Gravy which was like nothing we had ever tried. We both thought this was the winner in the sauce options! Chippies were spot on, we loved them & the salad was fresh & had a nice subtle flavour. We must mention the starters we we're treated to, beautiful buffalo chicken wings, we're suckers for chicken wings, delicious arancini balls & a huge caesar salad!

Wilbury & Sons has a fantastic vibe. You're welcomed by the warm staff who are on a first name basis with the locals, we loved this! The venue itself, felt very much like a rock & roll restaurant / bar. You can tell there is a huge focus on the music industry, which again, we loved & the interiors all work really well. With fairy lights throughout, portraits & posters on the walls & we have to mention the games section where you can pick from so many board games to take to your table. Not only did we feel really comfortable here, we loved meeting the owner Byron & experiencing the great community!

H tested out the Tempranillo for $12 a glass - bargain! We thought it was on the sweeter side & really enjoyable! Mads choice for the night was a glass of Shiraz at $14 a glass which was a very deep, thick red. It took a little to warm up to but was enjoyable overall.

💰Value–4/5
It's been a while since we've had a solid meal for $24! We were really impressed with the value especially considering your sauce choices. Based on the fact H's steak was a little too well done for her liking, we did take that into consideration however, everything on the menu was priced so reasonably.
