🥩Steak – 4/5

On a Wednesday night in Hawthorn, you'll find a $25 steak night at The Beehive Hotel. On offer is a scrumptious 250g Sirloin which had a lovely fatty edge, cooked medium rare as we love & we felt the quality of the steak was noticeably good! We did think there was a tiny bit of flavour lacking but the actual cook of the steak was great!

🔪Sauce & Sides – 3/5
Served with your Sirloin, you get a super fresh salad, it's quite basic but nice and some chippies, we thought they needed some more salt but the sauce options make up for flavour! Sauce isn't included in the steak night but we still had to try as many as we could. The peppercorn sauce is super creamy, Béarnaise was really light but we enjoyed it, chimichurri certainly isn't your stock standard but had a nice uniqueness to it & the made in house 'wow wow' sauce was something else! Out of all of these sauce options, you'll be sure to find something for you! Before our steaks we also enjoyed the unbelievable kingfish sashimi & wood fired octopus, both fantastic.

🔥Vibe – 3.5/5
"A place for the people" the revived Beehive Hotel has multiple dining options, including an outdoor beer garden, the main dining room and a classic public bar area. The interiors of are very cute with nice timber tables, lovely cutlery & a general warmth to the space. We did think the vibe picked up after 7:30ish, but good for an intimate dinner beforehand. Shoutout to staff, in particular Alex for the amazing service too. We scored a couple of their branded t-shirts too which we love.

🍷Vino – 3.8/5
We decided to be good girls at The Beehive & share a glass of Vino. There were so many options for Vino but we opted for the Sangiovese for $14 a glass. We enjoyed it, probably a drop more up H's alley.

💰Value – 3.3/5
$25 for a good quality piece of steak, chips & salad, you can't be too mad. We did think it would be advantageous to include a sauce & we were a bit disappointed with the chippies & salad. Overall, this one is still definitely a solid steak night at the price point & worth trying out in our opinion.
