If you're in the city, looking for a banger lunch deal, head to the Next Hotel & go to level 3 to La Madonna. This gorgeous restaurant has an unbelievable lunch deal offering 2 courses for $35 or 3 courses for $45. For the main course selection, we obviously opted for the Steak Frites which was a lovely 200g steak, cooked to absolute perfection! The flavour hit, the texture & juiciness left us speechless. We couldn't fault this steak, we would have just loved more of it!

The lunch deal offers very generous options, Mads opted for the 2 courses and enjoyed the stracciatella with basil oil & eggplant & H went for the 3 courses, H went for the Duck ragu croquettes & a big, delicious bowl of carbonara pasta, all before the steak! All of our starters were unreal! The steak frites were served with perfect chippies & peppercorn sauce, our only addition, would be that we would love a sauce choice.

La Madonna is a chic, classy venue with a lovely whiskey bar with private area's & plenty of cosy couch space. The natural light mixed with the luxe dining area, made for a very comfortable but high-end restaurant. This is the perfect spot for all our corporate baddies in the city, looking for an upper market lunch spot.
🍷 Vino – 4.9/5
We were blown away by the extensive vino list here, there were so many options to choose from. We did enjoy a glass of vino, H went for a glass of the 2013 Sangiovese for $26 a glass & this was one of the best drops H has had in a long time. Mads went for the Rose for $18 a glass, again, a very good glass of vino. We really could have settled in for the day here.

Good luck finding such incredible food for under this price point. We were super impressed, we couldn't believe the quality of the food for as little as $35 per person. Yes, the vino is a little spenny however, it is worth every cent! We are very much looking forward to heading back.
