🥩 Steak – 4.5/5
If you're in Melbourne CBD, this is one to add to your list. We went to Dessous in CBD for their Wednesday $29 Steak Night. You will be treated to the 200g Dry Age Rump from our friends at Flinders & Co. This steak was cooked beautifully, they do recommend having this one medium, so we tried one medium & one medium rare, as always. the medium rare was our personal fav! Dessous is a Thai restaurant, full of gorgeous food and we guarantee, the flavours will be singing on your tongue.

🔪Sauce & Sides – 4/5
We started with the potato rosti, spiced tuna tartare which was unreal, we both loved this. As Dessous is a Thai restaurant, this isn't your typical steak & chips. With your steak, you get the sticky rice, Jeow Bong, Coriander relish & Thai herb salad. We did add the Thai Fries & Papaya and Tomato salad. If you're not a huge fan of spices, stick to the steak & sticky rice. All of the sides had such a kick to them, they were super fresh & not leaving us feel like we had overeaten.

🔥Vibe – 4.8/5
The vibes here are immaculate. An underground moody spot, we would say it's perfect for a date night and an intimate dinner with friends. It's dimly lit, with lots of gorgeous tea lights to add to the mood. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful & a spot we will be back to. Dessous is a true underground Melbourne gem!

🍷Vino – 4/5
The team at Dessous recommend their Thai Spiced Negroni cocktail to start, H tried this one & was impressed! When we saw "Steak Red" vino on the menu, it was a no brainer for H to have a glass. This was lovely, quite sweet but definitely enjoyable. The drinks list is great, and we can see ourselves coming back for a few vinos together!

💰Value – 4.2/5
We think $29 for a great steak is very reasonable, as well as the entree's being $11 each & the additional sides for $8 which are big enough to share between two people. This is a spot to add to your date night list for sure and we're excited to go back.
