🥩 Steak – 3.3/5
Another spot where we had to debate a little about our overall rating. H loved the steak, it’s right up her alley. The steak was a 250g Scotch Fillet and it certainly was a classic Scotch. Full of flavour & fat. Mads is not the biggest fan of fatty steak so this is where we struggled to agree, however, our middle ground was the flavour & it was cooked perfectly.

🔪 Sauce & Sides – 2.7/5
This one comes with Abacus default Salsa Verde sauce which could be a point of contention for some people as it has a very punchy flavour. We enjoyed it though! Salad was a leafy green salad with tomatoes & orange slices. Again, that will be up to your preference if you like this or not. H felt the chippies were a bit overcooked for her liking, Mads was a fan though!

🔥 Vibe – 5/5
The interiors are stunning with beautiful décor, high ceilings with windows & doors that open to make it feel like an indoor/outdoor space. You can come here on date night & blow the mind of the person you take or visit for a very fun girls night. Honestly, Abacus hits all the spots. The staff are incredibly approachable & friendly & make you feel like you’re hanging out with them rather than sitting in their restaurant. Steakbabes couldn’t fault the overall vibe.

🍷 Vino – 3.5/5
It is worth noting there is happy hour from 4 – 6 PM so be sure to slip into Abacus during this time! H ordered a Sangovaise & for a bit of a change, Mads was on the Rose’s! Solid selection of Vino’s on offer so we have no doubt there will be something for you on the menu.

💰Value – 3/5
$25 for a Scotch fillet, with chips, salad & sauce. Impressive value for the portion size, and a nice change with the scotch over the traditional porterhouse or rump we typically get. We would have preferred some choices on sauce but for $25, we had a full tummy leaving.
