Our one year anniversary of Steakbabes was quickly approaching & we knew we had to indulge ourselves in the best of the best, and that is Victor Churchill.

Victor Churchill, located in Armadale, is an experience unlike no other so let’s start from the beginning. As you enter, you’re welcomed by the most stunning in-house butcher where you can purchase steaks to take home, salami for your charcuterie board later or a heat up meal for Monday lunch at work! Everything in this area looks so fresh, flavoursome and will be sure to impress any guests you’re cooking for!

Now onto the main event, we were sat at the horseshoe dining table which is super intimate with the bar in the middle & facing all the other people who are also about to enjoy the best steak in Melbourne. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. We loved the warm bread with whipped butter to start, we even asked for seconds on this because it was so yummy. For us, entrees were the Steak Tartare & Sea Beam Crudo. Both were to die for, full of flavour, fresh & the perfect start to an incredible feast.

Onto what we came for, the steak. Mads ordered the 250g O’Connor pasture fed eye fillet which was cooked to absolute perfection. The knife literally slid through the steak. it was so thick and full of glorious flavour, like nothing we’ve ever tasted before.

H was on a mission & went for the 500g Rangers Valley Black Market Scotch Fillet MS5. Now H received a lot of doubt from the staff that she could in fact finish this. We knew she could get through this & she absolutely did. The flavour was incredible, cooked to perfection. Overall, the best steaks both of us have ever had.

On the side we had a salad, chips, and for the sauce - a red wine jus for Mads & peppercorn sauce for H.

It’s hard to believe we were left speechless, but we were. We wholeheartedly understand why this is rated the best steakhouse in Melbourne according to World’s 101 BEST Steak Restaurants, and we couldn’t agree more. We beg you to do yourself a favour and give this a go.
