🥩Steak–3.1/5
We appreciate having an option for your steak night & at The Chapel, you get to chose between a 300g Porterhouse or 300g Scotch, so naturally we tried one of each. Both steaks were a little over done, as we always order medium rare but there was a nice subtle charcoal flavour. We are always weary of a steak with the grill marks but this one didn't have the charcoal overkill flavour.
🔪Sauce & Sides–3.3/5
Again, we love a choice for a sauce & side. You get to chose between 2 sides which are a choice of, broccolini, salad, fries or potatoes, which we tried all of and our stand out was for sure the potatoes. Plus a sauce choice between Chimichurri, Harissa, Red Wine Jus and Dijon Mustard. Which, obviously, we tried all of & our stand out was the Red Wine Jus, it was smooth, kind of like a boujee gravy which matched well with the steaks.
🔥Vibe–2.5/5
We both hadn't ever visited The Chapel & it gave the vibe that it would be a fantastic spot on a Friday, Saturday & probably Sunday night! The lighting was dim & there was a DJ booth at the back of the venue. Sadly, there wasn't many people here, but we hope more attend their steak night!
🍷Vino–3.7/5
You enjoy a $10 glass of vino with this steak night, so we say, soak it up! Mads enjoyed the OG Shiraz which is usually $14 a glass & H the Dr Fuego Pino which is usually also $14 a glass, but for $10, we couldn't complain too much!
💰Value–3/5
We have had steak nights at this price point, which deliver higher quality steak & sides however, this one is a solid steak night in the area. We do think that a higher quality steak at a slightly smaller size, would do better or a reduce in price to hit that overall higher value against other steak nights.
