🥩 Steak –4.4/5
Nestled right near South Melbourne Market, you will find Pirate Life offering their scrumptious $25 Monday Market-Cuts Steaks all day. On offer is a lovely 250g Porterhouse steak straight from the local market. The steak was so tender, juicy & pink! There was a solid fat edge which felt more like a scotch but we were assured, this baby was a Porterhouse. We could tell this was a quality cut of steak. The menu has a variety of cuisines mainly involving Greek, Argentine & Chilean which made for a flavour burst in all elements!

🔪 Sauce & Sides – 4.2/5
For the Monday steak offer, chippies & sauce is included. We did add on the rommane salad to share which was super fresh & yummy at $14. We were happy with the chippies, nicely salted & good crunch. The sauce was a gravy, now we know a lot of people don't believe gravy should be served with steak however, this gravy was unreal. Mads wanted to bathe in it. Absolutely worth trying!

We loved hearing the history of Pirate Life from the wonderful staff. The authenticity here feels amazing & you can tell there has been so much love put into Pirate Life. A massive venue with a vibey beer garden, perfect for your summer afternoon sessions & the interior fitout is gorgeous and thoughtfully done. The previous space used to be a mechanics garage and the Pirate Life team made the decision to maintain a lot of the original touches.

🍷 Vino – 4.5/5
H & Mads were offered our go-to, a chilled red & a glass of prosecco however, we thought we would indulge in a glass of Shiraz each. The Shiraz was a knock out, we thoroughly enjoyed this one. It is absolutely worth mentioning the huge varieties of Pirate Life brews available on tap!

💰 Value – 4.3/5
$25 for a beautiful cut of steak with great sauce & sides - we we're very happy! As always, we always love a sauce option which we did suggest but we also acknowledge how beautifully everything was done. All in all, we were really impressed with all elements & will be sure to visit this local again!
