The 300g porterhouse was cooked to perfection, and delivered on great flavour. The score is a reflection against the other steaks we have had where the flavour and texture really wowed us. Still a banging score.

🔪 Sauce & Sides 3.7/5
Their house béarnaise sauce came with a punch, full of flavour and was a delightful addition. However, the score could have soared higher with more sauce selections. Kudos for offering an array of mustards complimentary. The salad, fresh and on the lighter side, and the chips were a satisfyingly crunchy.

The atmosphere soared with positive energy. A warm, welcoming venue adorned with fine cutlery, moody lighting, a warm fireplace, and bay views. The staff were accommodating and lovely to deal with. Bleakhouse is the place for all, whether it’s after-work drinks, an intimate dinner for two, or a gathering of friends.

A glass of Sangiovese for $13 proved to be a pleasing choice. While bonus points could have been earned with a happy hour or steak night pairing price, the overall profile was spot on.

The generous 300g steak, an upgrade from the typical 250g, accompanied by well-portioned sides and a lavish serving of béarnaise sauce, makes it a stellar deal. An overall great score, and a hearty recommendation from us.
