Truffle Meets Steak
Steakbabes ventured into the Yarra Valley for a winter experience that combined two of our favourite things – premium beef and fresh truffles. Our day started at Truffle Valley Farm with owners Dom & Joan, who introduced us to the mysterious underground world of truffles.
Truffle Hunting Adventures
Dom and Joan gave us a fascinating education on how truffles grow, how they're farmed, and how these babies can elevate any dish. The highlight? Truffle hunting with their expertly trained dogs who sniffed out these hidden treasures right before our eyes.
For those wanting to take some truffles home, Dom and Joan offer their freshly hunted truffles for purchase.
From Farm to Feast
Our truffle journey continued at Seville Estate Winery, where Chef James Cornwall created a masterclass in truffle cuisine. The star of the show was the Stone Axe Wagyu Rump Cap, perfectly complemented by generous shavings of fresh truffle. Each dish showcased the incredible marriage of premium beef and truffle – a combination that truly elevates both ingredients.
This is one experience not to miss if you're a true truffle and steak lover wanting a wholesome winter adventure in the Yarra Valley.
